About The Position

To coach and otherwise guide a team of employees to achieve optimum levels of productivity, quality and safety while meeting operational deadlines and budgets. This typically includes recruiting and hiring qualified employees and ensuring that they receive all necessary training and education. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for maintaining a motivational work environment through appropriate goal setting, operating principles, communication, and fair treatment of all employees. As necessary, the supervisor must take action to correct poor performance and poor behavior that puts the employee or team at risk or impacts the team’s ability to achieve its objectives. What You’ll Do As a Supervisor I , you’ll be the go-to leader on the warehouse floor, ensuring smooth operations and a safe, productive environment. Your day-to-day will include: Lead & Coach: Teach, mentor, and guide team members to achieve production and distribution goals. Plan & Prioritize: Assign work, set priorities, and keep operations on track. Safety First: Ensure all team members follow safety procedures and proper equipment use. Performance Management: Conduct reviews, provide feedback, and handle disciplinary actions when needed. Problem Solve: Use tools like 5 Why and Kaizen to resolve issues quickly. Communicate: Maintain professional, timely communication with internal teams and external partners. Administrative Duties: Keep accurate records, complete incident reports, and support compliance. Hands-On Leadership: Work directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a safety-first mindset
  • Experience with forklifts, packing, and measuring.
  • Leadership ability—even from non-business or volunteer roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of metals, ISO standards, lean practices, and safety programs.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
