About The Position

thyssenkrupp Materials NA – tkMMS is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our manufacturing division in Kennesaw, GA. This role is hands-on, working directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery, and is best suited for someone with strong leadership skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to meet operational goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (employment eligibility requirement).
  • High school diploma or equivalent with basic math and reading skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Warehouse experience including forklift, packing, and measuring.
  • Demonstrated leadership or team-building skills (business, military, or other organizations).
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in warehousing or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of metals staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices, or sales functions.

Responsibilities

  • Meet production and distribution objectives on time and within budget.
  • Teach, coach, and demonstrate work activities for team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure team members are trained in safety, equipment use, and company policies.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Complete and file accident or incident reports within 24 hours.
  • Monitor working conditions, correct safety issues, and take disciplinary action when needed.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques (8D, 5 Why, Kaizen) to resolve issues.
  • Maintain records, reports, and other administrative duties.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Operations or Plant Manager.
