About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Superintendent to lead daily manufacturing operations at our facility. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving continuous improvement and building a strong, positive team culture. The ideal candidate brings strong operational expertise, proven leadership experience, and a deep commitment to safety, productivity, and team development. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including maintenance, quality, supply chain, and senior leadership to achieve production goals and support overall business success. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee all aspects of plant operations including production, maintenance, safety, and quality Ensure production schedules are met while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime Partner with HR and senior leadership on workforce and operational needs Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop team leaders and plant personnel Manage staffing, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement Safety & Compliance Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety standards Lead safety audits, reviews, and incident investigations Prepare and submit required safety and environmental reports in partnership with EH&S Quality Control Ensure adherence to product quality standards and specifications Collaborate with QA teams to resolve production issues and improve processes Continuous Improvement Identify inefficiencies and implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives Drive plant-wide continuous improvement efforts and 5S programs Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination Work closely with supply chain, logistics, and procurement teams Ensure efficient flow of materials and finished goods Reporting & Budgeting Maintain production metrics, downtime logs, and performance reports Develop and manage budgets to support cost control and operational goals Maintenance Oversight Coordinate with maintenance and CI teams on repairs and preventive maintenance schedules Requirements Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Proven success improving operational performance through continuous improvement Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies strongly preferred Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, quality systems, and production best practices Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure Clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization Technical understanding of manufacturing systems, machinery, and ERP/MES systems Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to lead change and drive measurable results Supervisory Responsibilities Direct oversight of approximately 5 salaried and 23 hourly employees Work Environment & Physical Requirements Active manufacturing environment (indoor and outdoor exposure) Frequent walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) Required use of PPE Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting Travel Primarily local travel with occasional overnight travel as needed Why Join Us?
