Plant Services Supervisor
About The Position
The primary duties and responsibilities of Plant Services Supervisor consist of, but not limited to: Supervision of 15-20 janitorial hourly employees Achieving safety and training goals Project management Work with and supervising vendors Special projects Overseeing janitorial services at the Groton, Kings Highway, B793, and New London sites Cleaning equipment Carpentry services Sign shop services Painting services Hazmat services Development and implementation of process improvements Utilization of VMI programs Performance of preparation and removal of Christening Ceremonies, special events, road sweeper operations If needed, willing to participate in an alternative schedule during snow operations, snow removal and de-icing operations Working overtime as required to support organizational tasks Ability to interface with all levels of management and union leadership
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance or similar scope of work
- Working daily and weekend overtime to support snow removal operations and special projects as needed
- Working daily and weekend overtime as requested
- Work alternate shift/ 3rd shift as needed at the discretion of management.
