About The Position

Ready to take on complex machinery and make uptime your signature? If solving tough equipment problems and driving continuous improvement sounds like your sweet spot, Aegis Worldwide wants you as our Plant Reliability Mechanic. You’ll keep plastics processing and automated equipment running at peak performance while supporting production goals and KPIs. Imagine this scenario A line goes down with signs of a failing gearbox. You verify the fault, coordinate with procurement for the correct replacement, loop in an OEM for a quick consult, and plan the changeout during a short window of downtime. While you’re in there, you log all actions in the CMMS, update performance metrics, and identify a preventive task to extend bearing life. Line back up. KPI trend improves. What you’ll handle Repairs & Troubleshooting Primary maintenance and fault isolation across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Heavy-duty repairs including gearbox replacements and large bearing changes. Routine tasks during planned downtime, such as extruder screw and grinder blade changes. Preventive maintenance planning and execution to reduce surprise failures. Projects & Modifications Install and modify production assets to improve safety, throughput, and reliability. Implement engineering changes and capital projects with disciplined scope, schedule, and budget control. Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment performance data. Team & Vendor Partnerships Collaborate with contractors, OEMs, vendors, and machine shops to accelerate solutions. Coordinate parts availability with procurement so the right components arrive on time. Work with the Maintenance Manager to continuously improve our CMMS workflows. Safety & Standards Confirm all equipment, building systems, and tools meet safety and operational requirements. Strictly follow safety, environmental, and quality protocols. Keep the workspace organized and free of hazards. Qualifications Education & Training High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational training in Industrial Maintenance or at least 2 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience. Experience & Skills Manufacturing background with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Comfortable reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Expertise in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. Ability to operate forklifts and boom lifts. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
