About The Position

The Border Protection Stations Branch is recruiting to fill three (3) Plant Quarantine Inspector positions located in Siskiyou County at the Hornbrook Border Protection Station. Under the close supervision of the Plant Quarantine Supervisor I, with guidance from the Plant Quarantine Supervisor II, the Plant Quarantine Inspector (PQI) performs regulatory inspections on vehicles and commodities to prevent the introduction of unwanted pests into California. Seasoned inspectors are expected to be able to work independently with minimal supervision and may be required to act as shift leader.
