This role drives continuous improvement in product and service quality using robust systems, Lean and DMAIC methodologies, and key performance metrics. As a member of the Plant Staff, the PQM also shares responsibility for overall plant performance in quality, safety, service, and continuous improvement, while providing leadership and coaching to the quality team.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, communicate, and execute the quality strategy and roadmap, which support the manufacturing strategy for the location and the corporate direction for quality.
  • Champion the product quality architecture necessary to prevent and detect quality issues for purchased materials and manufactured goods for the plant. Defined requirements will include form, fit, function, operational safety, and regulatory compliance of the product, packaging, labeling, and any published documentation of the product.
