About The Position

The Lanxess – East Hanover Head of Quality is responsible for managing, mentoring, and supervising the Quality Control and Quality Assurance departments.  The position and associated reports work collaboratively cross functionally with other departments including but not limited to Operations, Plant Engineering, and Maintenance to drive continuous improvement in process, cost, efficiency, capacity and process safety. Work with R&T to resolve quality isses and support product development Manage Laboratory Supervisor and QC laboratory operations Manage site's Quality Assurance and maintain site's required certifications Direct Chemistry support of manufacturing operations, formulation issues, as well as other special assignments Lead and support HSES (Health, Safety, Envirnmental, and Security) LANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals company with about 12,000 employees in 32 countries. Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Chemistry required
  • >10 Relevent Professional Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of direct reports required
  • Prior experience managing/supervising a Laboratory required
  • Quality assurance experience required; prior experience managing QMS (Quality Management Systems) in accordance with ISO 9001, RC14001 highly desired, AS9100D or similiar desried
  • Highly Proficient in root cause analysis and leading and documenting non-conformance investigations
  • Strong Communication & Troubleshooting Skills required
  • Computer Skill: Excel, Powerpoint, Word required, experience with SAP (or similiar) desired

Benefits

  • Compensation: We offer competitive compensation packages, inclusive of a global bonus program and an individual performance bonus program. The established pay range for this position is $121,600 to $202,600. Please note, the actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
