About The Position

Lead Plant purchasing activities (Capex, Services, MRO, …) including negotiation, supplier selection, and supplier development Monitoring/Executing capital procurement activities for critical spares and new equipment to ensure continuity of site manufacturing operations Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, promoting open communication, addressing performance issues, and fostering continuous improvement. Identifying and implementing bundling opportunities and establishing the necessary network with the local purchasing managers of other Gx locations Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with local managed suppliers to secure favorable pricing, delivery, and stocking agreements to meet production and inventory schedules. Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies - Monitor and manage contract renewals and terminations Implement cost-saving initiatives and track procurement performance; execute an annual cost savings program to meet company KPIs. Maintain a strong ethical approach to procurement, promoting fairness, transparency, and integrity in all procurement activities. Perform day-to-day operational activities including: establishment of purchase orders and outline agreements, expediting of deliveries, resolution of invoice discrepancies/complaints and non-conformance Leading and developing site Procurement personnel; execute employee development and coaching processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations, industrial engineering or similar
  • 6-7+ years of proven procurement and supplier management experience, ideally in Direct and Indirect Material / MRO purchasing
  • Proven experience in operational purchasing, contract/quotation negotiation, and supplier relationship management
  • Proficiency in using SAP MM, SAP Ariba and Microsoft office suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop purchasing team members

  • Experience in Material requirements planning/Materials management, Inventory Control, Lot Sizing, etc
