Requirements

  • 4+ years of successful experience in purchasing, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
  • Strong pattern of initiative and achievement.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Functional knowledge and understanding of the following computer/software programs: Financial Systems Software (Oracle), AS/400, ADP, EAM (Asset Management) and MFGPro.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the operations of the Buying & Planning Department as well as Warehouse and Distribution.
  • Manages the operation of all raw materials, packaging, storeroom and warehouse activities which include palletizers, shipping of finished goods, logistics and unloading of peanuts, receiving of packaging and raw materials and cycle counts.
  • Manages the functions related to plant production planning, capacities, scheduling, material planning of packaging and raw materials.
  • Manages the supply inventory to support the production schedule in order to balance operational needs and the sales forecast demands.
  • Orders, schedules, and manages fresh product, direct supplies and packages and maintains valid data in purchasing software.
  • Manages and approves plant purchase requisitions and purchase orders for direct supplies and indirect supplies, including MRO and services.
  • Controls inventory dollars, inventory turns, and inventory accuracy and assists the accounting department with the supply cycle count process.
  • Manages supplier invoice approvals by verifying accuracy, adjusting as needed and corresponding with AP as necessary.
  • Manages shipping department to ensure all orders are being met.
  • Manages the finished products by checking cooler inventory and product assigned locations for accuracy and provides customer services to our internal and external customers.
