About The Position

The Plant Payroll Coordinator at Smithfield Foods is responsible for the timely processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll and time and attendance records using STAMP payroll software. This role involves data entry, ensuring accuracy in payroll records, and assisting employees with payroll-related inquiries. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Human Resources and operations teams to ensure employees are compensated correctly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of relevant payroll or timekeeping experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience with SAP and Kronos preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process Plant's Payroll using STAMP payroll software.
• Confirm checking schedules, hours, and times are recorded correctly.
• Communicate closely with Human Resources and the operations group to ensure employees are paid correctly.
• Report efficiencies and other labor matrices within established deadlines.
• Enter data from transfer sheets received from Supervisors into STAMP to ensure accurate Payroll.
• Make adjustments to attendance records and ensure payroll changes are kept up-to-date.
• Assist employees and supervisors with payroll-related questions.
• Provide assistance to Accounting as needed.
