About The Position

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator to work out of our Granite Quarry in Granite Falls, MN. This position will be responsible for safely and efficiently starting and regulating plant processing equipment. The Plant Operator will run and monitor plant operations from a centralized location under the direction of the Plant Manager and Foreman. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor; participate in safety inspections and plant safety program. This is a non-union position.

Requirements

• Able to adhere to MSHA & OSHA guidelines and Company Safety rules and regulations
• Will take an active role in the plant safety initiatives
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Willing to cross-train in different areas of production and general operations

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an equivalent role
• Strong organizational skills, including planning, scheduling, prioritizing, and record-keeping

Responsibilities

• Starts, monitors, and regulates plant processing equipment within the company guidelines and safety standards
• Daily Pre- and post-inspections of the work area
• Monitors/maintains load-out area and operates mobile equipment as needed
• Assist with basic maintenance on the plant, including repairs
• Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times
• Assist with training of co-workers as needed
• Other duties as assigned
