Details: Bloomington Crushed Stone - Rogers Group Inc – Bloomington, IN Full-Time – Second Shift: 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. Pay: Starting at $24.50 per hour. Bloomington Crushed Stone is an underground and surface limestone mine/quarry seeking a Second Shift Plant Operator / Maintenance Man for our operation located in Bloomington, IN . This position offers a union environment with excellent pay, pension, and benefits. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to: Operate and monitor an aggregates plant facility Routine equipment/plant maintenance Involved with plant improvement projects Inspect and perform daily repairs and maintenance on plant Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, and other equipment Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and setup of new plant components. Maintain accurate maintenance and service records. Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient plant operations. Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer, manlift) as needed for maintenance tasks. Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have a dedication to safe work practices at all times
  • Previous maintenance experience
  • Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
  • Must be willing to work a regular evening shift (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.)
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.).
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Team player attitude
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Experience welding and cutting is preferred

Responsibilities
