Job Description IHI Power Services Corp. (IPSC) has a career opportunity for an Power Plant Operator at our Ravenswood, NY plant. The position is an Onsite role with no ability to work remote. The position will report to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager. The starting pay rage is between $48.65 - $53.18, depending on experience. Through additional training and advancement, pay can increase up to $65.77 within 2 years. Job Summary An Operator is considered a multi disciplined technician with skill sets to include working knowledge of the purpose and function of plant equipment and processes, the ability to use basic tools as well as having basic mechanical and electrical maintenance skills. The Operator reports to the Shift Supervisor and can expect to be given direction by the Control Room Operator. The Operator conducts inspection rounds on equipment, records and adjusts parameters as needed, performs basic maintenance while on watch, applies and removes LOTO, acts as a fire watch and confined space hole watch when needed as well as perform additional tasks as assigned by the shift supervisor. This position involves working a rotating shift where the successful candidate will be expected to work days, nights, weekends, holidays. The successful candidate will be expected to report to work in all weather conditions without question.
