Night Shift Plant Operator

Belstra Milling Co. is a family-owned agricultural business based in Demotte, IN. We are searching for an individual to work in our Feed Manufacturing department at our DeMotte location. Requirements

- Ability to walk, kneel, bend, climb, etc.
- Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balance
- Work near moving mechanical parts and a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work in a dusty, cold, hot, humid environment and withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple automation systems that control manufacturing and batching equipment
- Manufacture feed in accordance with quality assurance policies, SOPs, and current GMPs
- Weigh and set up various small quantities of feed ingredients
- Fill micro-bins with ingredients and accurately record inventory amounts
- Operate an inventory management system to better track ingredient usage
- Dump totes and bags into the mixer, depackaging pits or receiving pits
- Load and unload ingredients from hopper bottom trailers as needed
- Operate forklift and semi-truck in the yard (willing to train and does not require CDL)
- Complete appropriate paperwork and reports accurately and timely
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Perform inspections on equipment such as forklifts and spot truck
- Perform routine housekeeping
- Capable of completing tasks correctly while focusing on quality, service, and safety
