About The Position

The Plant Operator is responsible for daily operations of the facility's central energy plant and main plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Utilizing a working knowledge of boilers, chillers and other plant equipment the Plant Operator ensures the plant consistently runs efficiently, safely and smoothly. The Plant Operator implements strategies to drive continuous improvement and maintain model operation thru planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations. The Plant Operator will strive to meet or exceed regulatory requirements, industry standards, manufacturer's recommendations, company policies and procedures. They will be responsible for creating work schedules, adhering to maintenance schedules and mentoring general maintenance technicians. The Plant Operator will implement and adhere to processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering-related field or Associate's Degree in engineering-related field or trade/technical certification or license.
  • 3+ years' experience in Plant Operations or High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years' experience in Plant Operations required.
  • Experience in Plant Operations in an acute care setting preferred.
