About The Position

As a Plant Operator at Airgas, you will be responsible for the primary manual labor required to produce and package dry ice. This role is essential in ensuring that quality standards are met while loading and packaging dry ice daily. You will also be involved in various clean-up functions, including sweeping, washing, painting, and trash removal. The position requires adherence to safety and quality policies and procedures, and you will be expected to perform any other related duties as required by your supervisor. Performance in a safe manner is a condition of employment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• One (1) year experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percents.
• Able to read and write.
• Able to understand and follow the direction of supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Load and package dry ice daily in accordance with quality standards.
• Comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Perform clean-up functions including sweeping, washing, painting, and trash removal.
• Follow any other reasonable instructions and perform related duties as required by the supervisor.
