About The Position

The Plant Operator (Filler) position at Airgas Therapeutics in Plumsteadville, PA involves learning and understanding the hazards of various gases, accurately labeling cylinders and boxes, and complying with safety programs and regulations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Familiar with computers.
  • Some heavy lifting.
  • Chemical knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand hazards of various gases, size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks.
  • Accurately label cylinders and boxes.
  • Comply with Training, safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures applicable to this position's responsibilities.
  • Movement of cylinders as required in the plant. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Complete all documentation and forms in compliance with cGMP's policy and FDA requirements during the fill process.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and orderly workplace through proper housekeeping procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Adhere to all quality assurance policies and standards.
  • Report accidents including near misses, unsafe acts or conditions and obey safety rules.
  • Able to operate hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Fill cylinders, high and low pressure, in accordance with safety procedures and quality.
  • Able to operate a forklift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
