Requirements

• Previous experience as a Boiler Operator in an institutional setting.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

• Ability to use a computerized work order system.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and repairing boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems.
• Completing preventative maintenance as required.
• Constructing, finishing, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems using power and hand tools.
• Cleaning, lubricating, servicing, repairing, or diagnosing malfunctions of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical building systems.
• Reading blueprints, specifications, and models to learn work layout and planning work accordingly.
• Maintaining logs, performing rounds, and completing tests and inspections.
• Responding to emergency problems in the facility and performing emergency repairs as needed.
• Making recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
