About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Plant Operations Technician I to support the safe and efficient operation of facility and power plant systems. In this role, you’ll monitor equipment, respond to facility issues, and help ensure critical systems remain operational—especially during emergencies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with HVAC and maintenance experience who takes pride in quality work and accountability.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Experience as a maintenance technician

  • Commitment to quality and reliability
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Constant standing and walking
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs)
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, keyboard use, and data entry
  • Ability to see near and far distances and hear alarms and machinery sounds
  • Occasional bending, climbing, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and repetitive movements
  • Rare driving and use of smell
  • One year experience

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, operate, and adjust facility equipment and power plant machinery according to established procedures
  • Oversee emergency power units and support emergency operations
  • Perform power plant restarts following defined protocols
  • Respond to facility trouble calls, troubleshoot issues, and complete necessary repairs
  • Monitor off-site properties and coordinate with appropriate staff or contractors as needed
  • Utilize computerized building automation systems to resolve issues
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and situational awareness
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Monitors operate and adjust facility equipment and power plant machinery following defined procedures.
  • Monitors emergency power units during emergency operations to assure they operating normally.
  • Performs a restart of power plant operations following defined procedures.
  • Responds to trouble calls in the facility, assesses, troubleshoots and remedies the issue.
  • Monitors off-site properties and notifies appropriate staff and/or contractors to handle problems or concerns.
  • Utilizes the computerized building automation system as appropriate to resolve issues.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
