About The Position

The Plant Operations Manager at WK Kellogg Co is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a 24/7 manufacturing environment in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment while executing various projects aimed at achieving long-term operational gains. The manager will lead a team, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation processes, and will play a key role in budgeting, culture guidance, employee development, and driving key performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Eight to ten years of managerial experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with leading and applying lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Collaborative work style to partner with leaders of other functional areas.
  • Technical and operations experience in process, bulk material delivery, or packaging.
  • Experience in leading Kellogg Work System (KIWS) activities is helpful.
  • Experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry.
  • SAP experience.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the business planning and budgeting process by developing short and long-term cost strategies.
  • Set and maintain the department's culture with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and engagement.
  • Coach leaders on the WK Kellogg Integrated Work Systems and focus on employee capability development.
  • Measure production, delivery, quality, cost, safety, and morale through scorecards to drive performance.
  • Ensure the team maintains the highest level of Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards.
