We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead our soy processing facility in Eagle Grove, Iowa. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to deliver operational performance and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on agricultural processing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing teams, improving processes, and delivering results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, processing, or related industrial experience
  • Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
  • Experience with process automation and controls
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize competing demands, and drive results
  • Strong communication and organizational leadership skills
  • Experience with inventory management and rail/truck logistics
  • Demonstrated business and operational acumen

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production.
  • Build and develop a high-performing operations team through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Maintain strict compliance with safety and regulatory requirements including PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee plant inventory, storage integrity, transportation coordination, and logistics including rail and truck shipments.
  • Monitor production, financial, and operational metrics to guide decision-making and improve performance.
  • Develop and manage facility capital and operating budgets.
  • Maintain high standards for plant safety, product quality, and facility cleanliness.
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align operational strategies and meet company objectives.
  • Participate in talent development and succession planning within the facility.
