We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead our soy processing facility in Eagle Grove, Iowa. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to deliver operational performance and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on agricultural processing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing teams, improving processes, and delivering results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing, processing, or related industrial experience
- Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Experience with process automation and controls
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize competing demands, and drive results
- Strong communication and organizational leadership skills
- Experience with inventory management and rail/truck logistics
- Demonstrated business and operational acumen
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production.
- Build and develop a high-performing operations team through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety and regulatory requirements including PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee plant inventory, storage integrity, transportation coordination, and logistics including rail and truck shipments.
- Monitor production, financial, and operational metrics to guide decision-making and improve performance.
- Develop and manage facility capital and operating budgets.
- Maintain high standards for plant safety, product quality, and facility cleanliness.
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align operational strategies and meet company objectives.
- Participate in talent development and succession planning within the facility.
