About The Position

At LCRA, we are seeking to find a motivated and skilled Operations & Maintenance Coordinator to join our mission critical team! This is a pivotal leadership role that focuses on coordination of operational and maintenance efforts by leading a team of schedulers. In this role, communication and coordination of work activities at LCRA's coal generation facility, the Fayette Power Project, are essential to meet generation demand load and reliability requirements. This position requires in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in the discipline to provide and enhance services. We are looking for a candidate who can bring a new perspective to address complex challenges. This role requires independent work with minimal guidance, and the ability to serve as a resource for colleagues who have less experience. Effective communication with team members, leadership, and external organizations is essential, especially in both daily operations and emergency situations. Requirements

  • Twelve or more years of experience in power plant operations, maintenance, engineering, planning, scheduling, business support, or other relevant experience, including three or more years of experience leading staff.
  • A degree(s) in power generation, engineering, business, science, math or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in operating and maintaining coal and/or gas fired power plants.
  • Experience in maintenance planning principles, including work package development and PM development.
  • Experience with Maximo & PastA
  • Experience in developing and tracking metrics.
  • Proven track record of leadership and creating an environment of employee involvement and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily meetings with the purpose of coordinating the complex tasks of our planning and scheduling program.
  • Utilize the PastA scheduling tool in conjunction with Maximo to organize the execution of the maintenance backlog.
  • Lead your team to build future schedules to have a 4-week outlook and planned outage work packages.
  • Manage key functions of the records management and fuel handling area that require cross departmental coordination.
