About The Position

The Plant Operations Director is a Senior Management position that is responsible for managing and organizing the operations of the facility including maintenance, housekeeping, IT/Purchasing, transportation, and dietary while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and standards of government and regulatory agencies. This position also serves as the facility’s Safety and Security Officer and serves on the Safety/Risk Management Committee.

Requirements

• Degree in facility management or related field preferred; or equivalent in trade school degree and/or related experience.
• A minimum of 6 years related experience with at least one year of management experience.
• Must have experience with reading blueprints and understand Life Safety Code and OSHA Regulations.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of the physical plant within ninety (90) days.
• Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, plan, organize and direct the day-to-day activities of all maintenance and housekeeping personnel.
• Serve as the Chairman of Safety Committee and assumes the role as the facility safety and security officer while developing, implementing, and directing the facility’s environment of care programs.
• Ensure the facility meets necessary standards set forth by JCAHO, federal, state and local laws concerning the operation of the facility.
• Participate in the annual budget preparation.
• Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.
