About The Position

Acara Solutions is looking for an Associate Process Plant Mechanical Engineer to work for our partner located out in The Woodlands, TX who specializes in industrial gases and engineering. We are seeking a Associate level Plant Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in process plant design and process plant equipment layouts, preferably of ASU, LNG, and CO2 plants and equipment. The position will work closely with lead designer and project engineering manager to support plant design layouts and construction drawings packages.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience 2D/3D CAD design software.
• Associates degree mechanical technology / drafting process piping design or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel including internationally for short-term assignments, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design / draft mechanical piping systems and components for process plants specifically industrial gases and cryogenic fluid.
• Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software to create detailed technical drawings and models.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize designs for performance, cost, and constructability.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
