About The Position

Martin Marietta is looking for a Plant Manager to lead operations at our Ferguson Quarry. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll oversee safety, production, quality, and community relations — ensuring that the quarry continues to supply the essential materials that build Iowa’s future. Location: The Ferguson Quarry is more than just a mine—it’s a cornerstone of Iowa’s infrastructure development. Every ton of limestone extracted contributes to stronger highways, safer schools, and more resilient communities. Responsibilities

  • Lead safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture.
  • Responsible for leading the safety, health, environmental programs, guidelines and policies.
  • Lead and develop salary and hourly workforce to create teamwork and drive a safe and productive environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company, local, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Leads operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.
  • Responsible for the planning and scheduling of plant activities to include scheduling, production and training activities.
  • Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality of all products.
  • Maintain housekeeping and appearance standards as established.
  • Assist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as needed.
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritizing for production needs
  • Perform all activities in accordance with the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values, and in compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures and Code of Ethical Business Conduct.
