About The Position

The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of a new grain shuttle unloader facility by ensuring grain movement and quality while meeting company goals and objectives. Provide day to day leadership support to the location, including all operations, safety, customer service, maintenance, cleanliness, and grain quality within the facility.

Requirements

  • College degree in Agribusiness or related field is preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ year grain facility supervisory experience preferred.
  • High level of detail, multi-tasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with intuition to create solutions.
  • Positive, self-motivated individual with organization, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Communication skills – listen, provide feedback both verbally and in writing.
  • Teamwork skills – build a positive, safe work environment with the goal of low turn-over.
  • Leadership skills – demonstrate passion for the job and build the vision for the future.
  • Strong customer service commitment.
  • Frequent sitting, use of computer, communication via telephone
  • Ability to navigate an office environment.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders, lift up to 75 lbs, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, and work long hours in harsh environments (hot, cold temperatures and a dusty conditions).
  • Job may require occasional travel within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Facility Manager responsibilities involve supervision, reporting, grain handling and management, safety, and maintenance.
  • Assure proper grain storage and condition, blend grain for proper storage and distribution to customers, and practice good housekeeping principles.
  • Oversee and manage the maintenance of all grain handling equipment.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Manage employees to be effective on the job and to grow professionally.
  • Track employee accountability.
  • Lead the entire team and support their growth and development.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
