Overview: Masterbilt is seeking a dynamic and visionary Plant Manager to lead our South Bend operations. Requirements

  • Proven leadership and people management skills, preferably in operations or a related field.
  • Experience in a high-volume, matrixed organization with demonstrated success in influencing and motivating teams.

  • Excellent ability to adapt to continuous change and handle operational challenges efficiently.
  • Deep understanding of cross-functional dynamics and ability to collaborate effectively with different departments.
  • Solid grasp of current industry trends and competitive intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct all aspects of factory operations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and strategies. Develop and implement long-term operations strategies that support the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Team Development and Coaching: Build a compelling vision for the plant; inspire and mentor leaders, promoting an environment that focuses on developing internal talent and fostering exceptional teamwork.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Analyze departmental budgets, optimize resource allocation, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs.
  • Safety, Quality, and Delivery Management: Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained across all operations. Develop strategies to ensure timely delivery of products, optimizing production scheduling and resource management to meet customer lead times while maintaining stringent quality controls.
  • Financial and Administrative Oversight: Direct effective administrative management, financial management, and reporting. Provide Sales with accurate work order estimates and manage profitability of all jobs.
  • Innovation and Risk Management: Champion innovative ideas and practices, take calculated risks to enhance business growth, and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Customer Management and Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with all client bases, including existing clients in Indiana, Arizona, and California, as well as future ventures. Ensure customer satisfaction and engagement are at the forefront of business operations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive business strategies. Maintain frequent communication with executives, including direct reporting to the President.
  • Growth Focus: Actively pursue opportunities for operational and business expansion, driving continuous improvement and strategic initiatives that align with Masterbilt’s growth ambitions.
