About The Position

Join Produce Innovations/Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Plant Manager based out of our food processing plant in Norwalk, IA. Produce Innovations is a leader in fresh-cut produce processing, specializing in the preparation and packaging of fresh-cut, all-natural snacks. As a Plant Manager, you will lead for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing facility, including production, quality, safety, maintenance, and staff management. The plant runs in a dynamic 24/7 operation. You will collaborate with teams across the plant, particularly Quality Assurance and Operations, to promote and support food safety, product quality, and operational efficiency. This position plays a key role in developing the team through coaching and training. Ensuring that operations run efficiently, products meet quality standards, and regulatory requirements are met while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience in food manufacturing or a related field
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Project management and continuous improvement experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • SAFETY FIRST. Must be able to implement and follow all safety guidelines
  • Provide leadership and direction to the plant manufacturing team in a 24-hour, 7-day week operation
  • Actively promote and support food safety, GMPs, HACCP, PPE, USDA and sanitation standards. Collaborating with quality assurance, plant management, and employees to ensure compliance
  • Maintain positive and effective communication with plant management, supervisors, service groups, and employees to ensure smooth operations
  • Implement corrective actions using key maintenance performance indicators to improve overall equipment effectiveness
  • Stay current with industry regulations, codes, and best practices related to production including OSHA, FSDA
  • Manage employee selection, retention, development, and performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
