About The Position

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting quality standards and customer expectations. This role provides leadership across production, safety, quality, maintenance, and staffing, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and employee development.

Requirements

4 year college degree
10 years as a Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Operations Manager in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated leadership and people management experience in a production or industrial setting.
Prior Tire Manufacturing experience
Strong knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
Familiarity with industry-standard manufacturing equipment, production systems, and technical processes.
Solid understanding of safety, quality, productivity, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles.
Proficiency with computers and manufacturing-related software systems.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and team-building skills with the ability to lead by example.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, and manage daily plant operations to achieve production goals and exceed customer expectations.
Increase production capacity, asset utilization, and operational flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
Monitor plant performance, analyze operational data, and implement corrective actions to address inefficiencies, waste, and overtime.
Lead, recruit, develop, and manage plant staff while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; actively promote a strong safety culture.
Develop, implement, and maintain plant systems, processes, KPIs, and performance metrics to track productivity and return on assets.
Establish and enforce plant policies and procedures aligned with company goals and operational standards.
Ensure production schedules and targets are met within established timelines.
Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
Stay current with manufacturing best practices, production management concepts, and industry trends.
