About The Position

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in manufacturing construction chemicals and building materials — including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. We are currently seeking a Plant Manager to lead overall operations for our local manufacturing facility, overseeing people, processes, safety, quality, and financial performance. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across production, logistics, maintenance, quality, and administrative functions while ensuring compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and management systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of plant or general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional partners, and build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows-based systems.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for the manufacturing unit, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations.
  • Plan, schedule, and assign work across Production, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, Inventory Control, Maintenance/Engineering, Quality, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Customer Service, and Administrative functions.
  • Lead, develop, and coach production supervisors and management staff to build a high-performing, accountable leadership team.
  • Coordinate plant activities through effective planning with department managers to meet production, quality, and delivery objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) standards.
  • Ensure all plant operations comply with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, safety rules, and work procedures.
  • Develop and manage the plant’s operating budget, capital expenditures, control labor, overtime, premium freight, and maintenance costs.
  • Oversee capital asset maintenance, facility upgrades, and equipment improvements as needed.
  • Prepare and present timely operational reports to Operations leadership and corporate stakeholders.
  • Partner with Human Resources to support hiring, training, performance management, discipline, and workforce planning.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with corporate functional teams to resolve operational issues and implement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all MAPEI policies, safety rules, and work procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
