About The Position

Full Circle is seeking an experienced Plant Manager for our growing team! The Plant Manager will support the Safety Program as our #1 core value to ensure all employees have a safe environment to work in. The role involves implementing manufacturing strategies focused on continuous improvement, promoting relentless continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and capacity, and developing programs to minimize manufacturing defects. The Plant Manager will manage all plant operations to achieve economical use of material and personnel, control quality, and maintain company equipment and property. Additionally, the manager will mentor Plant Leads and develop plant staff for future leadership roles. Analyzing operational costs, investigating variances, planning corrective actions, and informing the Vice President of Manufacturing of the causes and actions taken to correct issues are also key responsibilities. The position requires providing analysis of operating results compared to plans, forecasts, and prior periods with recommendations for corrections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Chemical Engineering highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment as a manager, supervisor, or team lead.
  • Must have ERP experience.
  • Formal Lean, Six Sigma training or certifications.
  • Solid experience in chemical, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, coatings, etc.
  • Experience in multi-shift operations management.
  • Ability to oversee daily direction of production, warehousing, and engineering.
  • Experience leading plant efforts to meet customer expectations.
  • Strong communication skills for regular updates and process communication.
  • Experience in managing budgets related to cost savings and operations.
  • Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports across multiple facets of manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Support Safety Program to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Implement manufacturing strategies focused on continuous improvement.
  • Promote relentless continuous improvement to improve efficiency and capacity.
  • Develop programs to ensure minimal manufacturing defects.
  • Manage all plant operations for economical use of materials and personnel.
  • Mentor Plant Leads and develop staff for future leadership roles.
  • Analyze operational costs and investigate variances.
  • Inform the Vice President of Manufacturing of causes and corrective actions.
  • Provide analysis of operating results with recommendations for corrections.
  • Maximize efficiencies by designing and implementing improved manufacturing strategies.
  • Manage budgets related to cost savings and operations.
  • Foster a safety-oriented culture within the plant.
  • Work with maintenance teams on preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Lead continuous improvement, 5S, and Lean programs.
  • Benchmark, develop, implement, and execute the plant's strategic plan.
  • Work with the engineering team on CapEx projects.
  • Develop leadership team and create a succession plan.
  • Ensure key performance indicators are in place and monitored.
  • Confirm compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate policies.
