About The Position

The Plant Manager RMX is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of bulk concrete to the proper work site while working as a team member with site management and co-workers. The role involves coordinating general plant operations, managing field activities, and ensuring product quality. The manager will supervise a team of 2 to 40 employees in the Ready Mix Division, enforce safety procedures, and maintain compliance with environmental and DOT requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years of equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to balance shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
  • General knowledge of construction and A&C products.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to make timely decisions under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of bulk concrete to the proper work site.
  • Communicate, improve, and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Coordinate the execution of general plant operations activities.
  • Inspect product quality ensuring all criteria meets plan.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
  • Provide timely and accurate tickets for customers.
  • Run loader or dozer at bins and stockpile, and perform plant maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Monitor, recommend, and implement repairs and routine maintenance of equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Investigate abnormal operating events or equipment failures to determine cause.
  • Directly supervise 2 - 40 employees in the Ready Mix Division.
  • Coach, train, and mentor employees on safe and efficient methods of operating plant equipment.
  • Enforce safety procedures to ensure safety of personnel.
  • Manage all risks during the performance of duties and recommend safety and operational improvements.
  • Keep accurate DOT logs and load sheets.
