About The Position

We’re seeking a highly motivated, self-starting leader to serve as our Regional Ready Mix Plant Manager. This position provides hands-on leadership and operational support across four ready mix concrete plants, rotating daily based on need and demand. The ideal candidate is driven, adaptable, and thrives on independence; someone who can walk into any plant, assess the situation, and take charge without missing a beat.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in ready mix operations or plant management
  • Knowledge of concrete production, batching systems, and quality control
  • Strong general computer literacy; familiarity with batching software is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a self-driven mindset
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Advanced skills in welding and metal fabrication, including oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting techniques
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, including track hoes, bulldozers, and skid loaders
  • Project management experience, including planning, coordination, and successful execution of projects
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily plant operations including batching, production, maintenance, and logistics
  • Support operations across multiple plants based on workload and staffing needs
  • Step in as Acting Plant Manager to cover absences or high-demand periods
  • Ensure safe, timely, and accurate concrete production following company standards
  • Operate loaders, batching systems, and other plant equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform or assist with basic QC testing (slump, air, temperature) and monitor concrete quality in accordance with ASTM and ACI standards
  • Conduct routine inspections using the Whip Around app and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate batching records and consistent mix designs
  • Collaborate with plant managers, drivers, and customers to maintain timely delivery and service quality.
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable staff in alignment with company values (ORANGE)
  • Assist with employee training and development
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate material replenishment as needed
  • Partner with Dispatch, Sales, and other Plant Managers to maximize efficiency and customer service
  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost performance and reduce costs
  • Uphold all safety, environmental, and company standards at every site
