This position is a direct hire with our client. Compensation: $100,000 per year + comprehensive benefits package The Plant Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all utility and water/wastewater systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial utilities or facility operations (boilers, compressed air, cooling systems)
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Associate’s degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related technical field
  • Experience supporting 24/7 continuous operations, preferably in food or industrial manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, including RO systems and chemical treatment programs
  • Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, CMMS, and industrial control systems
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • Oversee industrial utilities including boiler plants, compressed air systems, cooling towers, potable water, wastewater treatment, and onsite laboratory operations
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to a team of utility and water/wastewater operators across rotating shifts
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency through data analysis, trending, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage boiler operations including combustion efficiency, boiler chemistry, fuel usage, inspections, and certifications
  • Oversee compressed air systems, cooling water chemistry, and water treatment processes
  • Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities with internal maintenance teams and third-party contractors
  • Lead capital projects, equipment upgrades, and vendor management efforts
  • Prepare and manage operating budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Support plant safety programs, emergency response planning, and regulatory audits
