About The Position

The position involves performing all scheduled and non-scheduled daily tasks within a commercial Laundry Plant. The individual will be responsible for maintaining awareness of all equipment assigned to them during production operations and ensuring the efficient operation of this equipment. This includes performing preventive maintenance and emergent repairs as situations develop, identifying and correcting any problems such as jams, bad or missing belts, and missing ironer tape. The role requires seeking technical assistance from Engineering as necessary.

Requirements

• Must be team oriented and able to function individually or with a team.
• Must be self-motivated, independent, prompt, and able to handle tasks as they present themselves.
• Solid communication skills are required.
• Must be able to operate tools and equipment safely.
• Must understand all safety procedures, including but not limited to lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment.
• Must maintain a clean and safe work area for themselves and the associates around them.
• Must have a good working knowledge of machinery.
• Able to help repair and maintain mechanical drive systems.
• Able to help repair and maintain conveyor systems.
• Able to help repair and maintain overhead rail systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance activities on equipment as scheduled.
• Ensures timely and quality completion of all maintenance and repairs, including overhead rail system and conveyor systems.
• Assists technical and mechanical personnel including outside vendors as needed.
• Maintains the maintenance log by making entries of incomplete tasks and new problems.
• Notifies Production Supervisors on the status of any equipment that will impact production or cause downtime and when back online.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
