SUMMARY: The Plant Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting the maintenance needs of VoidForm’s manufacturing facility. This position will work on various equipment to include saw and score machines, minor vehicle repairs and troubleshooting, assembly line equipment, forklifts, and compressed air systems. The Plant Maintenance Tech services our manufacturing equipment, warehouse facilities, and fleet of vehicles and equipment, to ensure they are in optimal condition for performance. This position will also be required to assist with product building duties when needed, based on business demands. This position will play an important role in ensuring our equipment is operational and meets compliance standards in accordance with OHSA and D.O.T. regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs the following responsibilities in accordance with VoidForm policies and procedures, work rules, expectations, and behavior standards: Performs routine maintenance and inspections on production machinery and equipment, and company vehicles, including trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other assets. Conducts preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of production machinery and equipment and vehicles and other assets. Under the guidance of the Production Manager, performs scheduled tasks and routine maintenance on related equipment and machines. Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance. Mains accurate records and logs of all maintenance and repair work performed and inputs finding into tracking and monitoring software. Supports the saw room with equipment upkeep and blade changes. Assists with truck loading operations and ensures loading equipment is functioning properly. Conducts preventive maintenance and minor repairs on company trucks and forklifts. When required, breaks down raw materials as needed for each product, to include separating corrugated paper from perforations. Reads and interprets technical documents to ensure accurate assembly. Organizes necessary components to build corrugated paper and/or plastic cells according to build instructions, ensures finished product meets build specifications. Responsible for general housekeeping to maintain an extremely clean and safe environment. Reports any production issues or equipment malfunctions to the Production Manager. Responsible for the safe use of tools, including box knives, lifts, and pneumatic tools, that are required during maintenance or product assembly. Transitions between departments based on daily operational needs and priorities. Performs other duties as assigned based on experience, skills, and business needs.
