About The Position

The Plant Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and repairing machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. The technician will work closely with the maintenance team to identify potential problems before they escalate, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintaining compressors, industrial machinery, and various mechanical systems within the plant. Ultimately, the Plant Maintenance Technician contributes to the overall productivity and safety of the manufacturing environment by keeping all equipment in optimal working condition.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related mechanical field.
  • Proficiency in using basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and stairs as part of daily tasks.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance or mechanical technology.
  • Experience working with compressors and other specialized plant equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, including compressors and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical failures using hand and power tools to restore equipment functionality promptly.
  • Climb ladders and stairs safely to access equipment located at various heights within the facility.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational efficiency.
