About The Position

The Plant Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and repairing machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. The technician will work closely with production teams to identify potential equipment failures and implement corrective actions promptly. A strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards is essential to protect personnel and assets. Ultimately, this role supports the overall productivity and reliability of the manufacturing plant by maintaining optimal equipment performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in industrial or plant maintenance roles.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, including basic hand tools.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and stairs as part of daily tasks.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience working with compressors and other specialized manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using hand and power tools, and repair or replace defective parts as needed.
  • Operate and maintain compressors and other industrial equipment in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
  • Climb ladders and stairs safely to access equipment located at various heights within the plant.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement effective maintenance solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
