About The Position

Maschmeyer Concrete is currently seeking a dependable and highly-motivated Plant Maintenance Technician to join our teams at our Ready-Mix Concrete Plants in major cities throughout Florida. The primary responsibility of the Plant Maintenance Technician is to maintain and repair our ready-mix concrete production facilities and corresponding equipment; such as conveyor components, pneumatic cylinders and gates, valve banks, water pumps, water and air lines, electrical motors, and other plant equipment related to our concrete plants. Experience within the Ready-Mix Concrete industry is preferred but not required. Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of technical experience
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Valid Driver License with driving record that meets company standards
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time with minimal supervision
  • Travel throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, Manatee, and Polk counties (up to 100% of day)
  • Full-Time availability to include 7-days a week and Overnights, if needed

  • Electrical wiring experience, preferred
  • Pneumatic experience, preferred
  • Plumbing experience, preferred
  • Fabrication experience, preferred
  • Welding experience, preferred
  • Heavy equipment operation experience, preferred
  • Experience within the Ready-Mix Concrete industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently diagnose and repair plant equipment in case of a mechanical breakdown
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
  • Maintain inventory of parts and tools needed for repairs
  • Ability to read and understand operations/machine manuals and/or diagrams
  • Identify projects and prioritize work to maximize plant productivity
  • Communicate and coordinate plant repairs and maintenance status with operations team
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
