About The Position

The Plant Maintenance Technician at Cold Chain Technologies is responsible for the repair and maintenance of production equipment, systems, and facility structures. This role involves executing preventative and scheduled maintenance programs, managing spare parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The technician will work collaboratively with engineers to improve production processes and support lean manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in servicing electro-mechanical automated equipment (Licensed Electrician a plus).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in Operator & Safety training.
  • Significant experience with standard hand and power tools.
  • Basic fabrication skills including measuring, cutting, and drilling of various materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Effective oral, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP/CMMS software.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a team (LEAN) environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plant maintenance (3 years preferred).
  • Experience working with electro-mechanical equipment (3 years preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Repair production equipment, systems, and facility structures, documenting results.
  • Carry out and document preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance on production equipment and systems as per the schedule.
  • Assist contractors in repairs or preventative maintenance tasks as required.
  • Follow all SOPs and Work Instructions as required.
  • Collaborate with production engineers in the development and implementation of new or existing production equipment and systems.
  • Report any equipment, manufacturing, quality, or health and safety issues to the Production Engineer or Plant Manager.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures.
  • Support lean manufacturing practices through repair and maintenance programs.
  • Communicate improvement ideas to the Production Engineer or Plant Manager.
  • Maintain spare parts and maintenance tool inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and maintain areas according to 5S practices.
