About The Position

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Plant Maintenance Tech based out of our Waco, Texas plant. In this role you will support positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As an Equipment Tech, you will work on preventive maintenance on equipment to keep the plant running and meet daily production.

Requirements

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
• Ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experienced welder
• Read and interpret schematics and manuals to understand the technical aspects of equipment and perform repairs accurately
• Inspect and maintain production equipment such as conveyors and rollers
• 3 years of experience with equipment or plant maintenance

Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Operate two pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, dozer or excavator etc.)
• Operate equipment in quarry or production
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
• Proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance in equipment and plant maintenance
• Clean equipment, clear obstacles in work environment
