Plant Maintenance Supervisor - Dairy Manufacturing

Crystal Creamery is seeking a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to join our Modesto facility. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our plant operations. Position Summary: The Plant Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates all maintenance activities within the plant. This position is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and equipment
- Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Comfortable working in a plant environment with noise and varying temperatures
- Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed

- Dairy or food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance technicians
- Assign daily tasks, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations
- Promote a strong safety culture and accountability within the team
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot and oversee repairs to ensure timely resolution
- Manage emergency repairs and coordinate with external vendors as needed
- Create and manage maintenance schedules to support production goals
- Partner with production and engineering teams to minimize operational disruptions
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct routine safety audits and inspections
- Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies
- Monitor and control maintenance-related expenses
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety
- Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics
- Drive process improvements and implement best practices
- Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and leadership teams
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
