About The Position

Crystal Creamery is seeking a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to join our Modesto facility. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our plant operations. Position Summary: The Plant Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates all maintenance activities within the plant. This position is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience required
  • Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and equipment
  • Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Comfortable working in a plant environment with noise and varying temperatures
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Dairy or food manufacturing experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance technicians
  • Assign daily tasks, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Promote a strong safety culture and accountability within the team
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot and oversee repairs to ensure timely resolution
  • Manage emergency repairs and coordinate with external vendors as needed
  • Create and manage maintenance schedules to support production goals
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to minimize operational disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct routine safety audits and inspections
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies
  • Monitor and control maintenance-related expenses
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety
  • Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices
  • Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and leadership teams
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
