About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations at our MRF and Compost facilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who knows how to keep equipment running safely and efficiently while guiding and developing a skilled maintenance team. You’ll play a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting plant operations, and ensuring all maintenance activities meet safety and operational standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or facility environment
  • 1+ year of supervisory or lead technician experience
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proven leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead maintenance technicians, assigning daily work orders based on operational priorities.
  • Support onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of maintenance staff.
  • Communicate equipment issues, repair needs, and parts requirements to leadership.
  • Perform and oversee routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment including conveyors, grinders, balers, compactors, and related machinery.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Support facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, and minor building repairs.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and completed on time.
  • Partner with operations teams to schedule repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Respond to urgent repair needs and emergency maintenance situations as required.
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE compliance.
  • Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety standards.
  • Complete daily work orders and accurately document maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation.
  • Identify parts and supply needs and assist with inventory control.
  • Maintain tools, parts, shop areas, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
