About The Position

The Plant Maintenance Superintendent will lead a team of Maintenance Supervisors, focusing on the success of building and equipment maintenance efforts. This role involves developing strategies to minimize mechanical downtime and ensure uninterrupted product flow. The superintendent will implement advanced maintenance systems such as Preventative and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, and more, transforming maintenance processes into a high-performing operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields (e.g., PLCs, instrumentation).
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance management systems and work order processes.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of organizational planning and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance systems to drive peak performance and minimize costs.

  • Schedule work strategically to reduce unscheduled downtime and boost efficiency.
  • Lead and inspire the maintenance team, ensuring smooth execution of work assignments.
  • Champion plant safety by enforcing policies and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Provide quick and effective solutions to operational challenges.
  • Design and manage a top-tier Preventive and Predictive Maintenance program.
  • Track and report maintenance performance across various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Step up to ensure tasks are completed efficiently in the absence of key personnel.
  • Drive a positive employee experience through leadership and coaching.
