About The Position

At Superior Farms in Denver, you’ll keep a modern food-production facility running smoothly. One morning you might calibrate a pneumatic control, the next you’re tracing an electrical issue on a conveyor, and later you’re at the controls of a boom lift to swap a worn belt. You’ll use forklifts and electric pallet jacks to position parts and access equipment safely, all while ensuring work meets company standards and USDA requirements. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; ability to read and write in English is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or at least one year of related experience/training.
  • Minimum one year of forklift experience.
  • Hands-on background in facility/equipment maintenance and repair (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Foundational skills across welding, plumbing, electrical, control circuits, PLCs, pneumatics, software, hydraulics, carpentry, motors, and pumps.
  • Clear communication and follow-through; able to read, write, and present basic instructions and information to small groups.
  • Math aptitude: work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rates/ratios/percents; interpret miscellaneous drawings/schematics.
  • Organized and able to juggle multiple priorities in a production environment.
  • Comfort working across temperature ranges; sound judgment and practical problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with GMPs and HACCP.
  • Willingness to work early hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed (not guaranteed).
  • Must be able to read and write English.

  • Computer skills preferred for maintenance roles.

Responsibilities

  • Walk the floor to inspect belts, fluids, filters, bearings, seals, and related components; document daily/weekly/monthly maintenance checklists.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues, including PLC-supported systems and control circuits.
  • Calibrate and service pneumatic systems; maintain motors, pumps, and utility equipment.
  • Operate a computer-based system to monitor and control facility utilities and mechanical equipment.
  • Handle facility repairs: doors, locks, windows and blinds; patch and finish drywall, plaster, and apply paint as needed.
  • Support remodels and renovations; install new wiring and services during projects; troubleshoot and replace faulty switches and components; repair refrigeration equipment.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance calls to restore safe operations quickly.
