Plant Maintenance Electrician – Heavy Manufacturing

Aegis Manufacturing & EngineeringWaukegan, IL

About The Position

You arrive before the lines ramp up for the night, walk the floor, and scan the systems that keep a heavy manufacturing operation moving. A conveyor photoeye looks suspect, a VFD shows a fault history you recognize, and you verify a 480V, 3‑phase feed after a planned changeover. When production calls, you’re the calm problem-solver—troubleshooting 24V DC sensor loops, bending and running conduit for a quick fix, or bringing a stubborn motor back online so throughput stays on target. The goal: keep the plant running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

  • Hands-on experience with 480V, 3‑phase systems
