About The Position

Are you willing to get dirty to see the success of an exciting industry? Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Boone Quarry West in Boonville, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Valid US driver’s license
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of MSHA regulations
Effective written and verbal communication
Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
Ability to work in elevated areas
General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material

Nice To Haves

Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
Previous maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists
Inspect equipment for signs of wear
Collaborate with team members to repair moving machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas
Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards
Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes
Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed
Work in a team environment
Clean work areas
Proper wear of personal protective equipment
Notify supervisors of repairs needed
