About The Position

Responsible for managing and directing all aggregate plant activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure quality of product and customer satisfaction; for meeting all GOH, federal, state, and local regulations; and for developing, motivating and managing plant personnel in a safe and productive working atmosphere. This salary, exempt position will work with indirect supervision.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant operations or a related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in a technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all aggregate plant activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure safety, quality of product and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise the performance of plant personnel to maximize productivity of equipment.
• Achieve targets of TPMH and variable production and fixed costs budgets.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws concerning EEO and fair labor practices, and all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
• Enforce progressive discipline and resolve labor disputes.
• Select, train and motivate plant personnel to retain a premier workforce.
• Conduct operations in a responsible manner to ensure minimal adverse effect on plant neighbors.
• Manage the operation and maintenance of equipment to achieve lowest operating costs.
• Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
• Frequently work more than 40 hours per week and non-traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
