WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE This job contributes to Evolution Fresh success by operating packaging machinery in conformance with specifications. Requirements

  • High School/GED or one plus years' experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
  • Manufacturing computerized systems or automated distribution or warehouse systems (1 year)
  • Manufacturing or distribution environment (4 years)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to follow verbal direction
  • Ability to quickly assess and prioritize the needs of a faced paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (FDA Code of Federal Regulations) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Experience with the GFSI certification schemes (i.e. BRC and/or or SQF).

Responsibilities

  • Assists supervisor in day-to-day operations and advises of task completion
  • Prepares for and executes routine shift kick-off, close-out procedures, and completes shift notes
  • Serves as an escalation resource for problems and issues that arise during assigned shift
  • Audits assigned functional area daily to ensure attainment of product quality, inventory accuracy, and customer service standards
  • Leads and carries out daily manufacturing, distribution, or green coffee operations tasks. Ensures team attainment of daily productivity goals
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Oversees team execution of master sanitation schedule
  • Provides training and coaching to team members on standard operating procedures, quality and safety procedures and regulations
  • Recommends process improvements. Supports process and business changes
  • May create staffing schedules and communicate with temporary staffing agency to provide needed associates
  • Review line communication boards for Continuous Improvement suggestions, enters work orders into maintenance tracking system for issues requiring follow up
  • Reviews and updates Kronos ensure partner timesheets are accurate
  • Demonstrates and understands safety as our core value and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; reinforces and coaches others to do the same coaches others to do the same
  • Understands and follows established safety guidelines, consistently complies with all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, Lock Out Tag Out)
  • Acts as a safety change agent (e.g. CPR/First Aid certification; active engagement in safety committee, drives safety initiatives for department)
  • Supports food safety, legality, and quality programs
  • Maintains product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures
  • Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Evolution Fresh Mission & Values
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
